10,000 Yaba tablets seized in city

 Acting on a tip off, a team of police detained two persons and seized 10,000 Yaba tablets from their possession. A specific case under the NDPS Act had been lodged against both the accused persons and their two-wheeler had been impounded.

“Based on a specific input, a police team comprising officials from Ramnagar outpost and West Agartala police station conducted an operation and detained two persons who had been riding a motorcycle. As per the preliminary investigation, both of them collected the consignment from Bamutia, Kalibazar area and they were about to deliver it or dispose it of somewhere in the city. The matter is being investigated,” he added. According to police, the motorcycle which they were using for the illicit trafficking of the drugs was also seized.
