Agartala Aug 12: As declared previously, Friday, August 12, the terminated 10,323 teachers moved to their respective schools and approached the principal for re-joining their services.
Claiming that the Tripura High Court order did not mean their en masse sacking, the teachers reported to their respective schools on Friday.
Talking to the reporters at Tulsibati School Agartala, terminated 10,323 teacher Kamal Deb said, “We had filed a petition at the Supreme Court, where it is mentioned that we were not sacked as per the Tripura HC order. Only those whose services were challenged by a group of deprived aspirants were terminated from their jobs”.
He further added, “Through an RTI in the apex court we came to know that we have not lost our jobs and the Govt has not sacked us. In response of the RTI is has been mentioned that we are not the party of the case, hence en masse losing of job is not valid. Therefore we have come to join our service today”.
Kamal Deb alleged that from the first day, after the Tripura High Court has passed the order, a group of bureaucrats and people with vested interests have been misguiding the cabinet and administration”.
The 10,323 teachers submitted a copy of Supreme Court’s clarification to the school principal and asked to take them back in service.
