Agartala, July 28: The Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura (HFT) observed its 20^th foundation day with the theme – ‘Bringing Care Closer to You: Hepatitis cannot wait’ on Thursday to mark the World Hepatitis Day.

Minister Ramprasad Pal, MLA Dr. Dilip Das, eminent doctor Dr. Pradip Bhowmik accompanied by the members of HFT, doctors and medical workers were present in the event organised here at Agartala Town hall on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering the minister Ramprasad Pal praised the initiative of the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura and said that through the different activities of the organisation, a large section of people belonging to the poor families are able to go through their health check up free of cost.

On the other hand, Dr. Pradip Bhowmik in his address to the gathering on Thursday pitched to intensify a joint effort so as to rescue the youths of the state from the darkest side of drug addiction to their normal life.    

The HFT is committed to work primarily in the field of liver disease & gradually, extending its zone of activities to many other health programs with the basic idea to develop mass awareness regarding health problems.
