26 pilgrims leave for Haj Yatra

Kumarghat Aug 12: 26 pilgrims from Unakoti and North Tripura districts left for Haj Yatra from Kumarghat railway station.
Because of the Covid-19 led pandemic, Muslims could not participate in Haj Yatra for past two years. But as the situation has normalized to some extent, this year people from different parts of Tripura are going for Haj.
Md Jamal Uddin, Vice President of Tripura Journalists Union State Committee, Unakoti District President, Ashutosh Pal, Journalist Azir Mia and Pranab Sutradhar greeted the pilgrims at the railway station.
Md. Abdul Munim Hossain, General Secretary of Unakoti District Committee of Tripura Journalists Union, is going to Haj this year.
The pilgrims will be boarding a flight from Agartala on Saturday morning for Mecca.
