Agartala Oct 01: Three- day long traditional Neermahal Jal Utsav is scheduled to commence from October 6 next that would include the famous boat race and swimming competitions at Rudrasagar Lake.

Eyeing to mark the festival a success, a preparatory meeting was recently held at the Conference Hall of Melaghar Municipal Council.

Chairperson of Sonamura Municipal Council Anamika Ghosh Pal presided over the meeting.

MLA Bindu Debnath, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Assistant Chairperson Pintu Aich, Sonamura SDM Manik Lal Nama and other officials of the district remained present at the meeting.

The three-day festival will be held at Rajghat Muktamanch from October 6- 8.

Artists from the state and outside the state will take part in various cultural programs in the festival.

Apart from boating and swimming competition,  manasamangal competition and others will be held.
