4 chessmen in trouble, Arshia stands alone at top in state senior chess

Agartala, Aug 29: 4 chessmen in trouble while playing by breaking the rules. A unique incident happened in the state chess event which had never happened before in the history of state chess.
Players may not use mobile phones or handheld devices during regular play. As in every tournament, before the start of the first round of the State Senior Chess Tournament, the arbitrator Anupam Bhattacharya clearly explained the rules to the participating chess players. But several chess players did not believe that. The result of which was found on Monday evening in the seventh round of the series. On this day, Gurpad Das faced Arshia Das, one of the contenders to be the best in the state in the first board. After breaking the rules, Gurpad sat down to play the match. Arshia noticed it after 3 moves of the game. Immediately she called the arbitrator. According to the rules, the arbitrator declared Arshia the winner. After that two more senior chess players Abhijit Chowdhury and Anurag Saha were seen playing by the clock. Both of them were declared defeated. After that the argument started. The organizers were forced to stop the game for the last 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the game of the seventh round of state senior chess ended today. There will be 3 rounds of games on the last day. Meanwhile, at the end of 7 rounds, Bishmay( Wonder ) girl Arshiya Das is single-handedly at the top by getting 6 and a half points. Arsia is on track to become the state’s best in the senior category for the first time. The first row games were going on till writing the news. For now, Abhigyan Ghosh is in the fight with 5 and a half points, Aradhya Das 5, Swarndeep Nath 5 points.
