75 years of Independence: Tripura BJP to organize various progs from Aug 9 to 15

Agartala, Aug 03: The Tripura unit of Bharatiya Janata Party would organize various programmes across the state from August 9 to 15 to celebrate 75 years of the Independence, a party leader said on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference at BJP state headquarters, the party’s state general secretary Papia Dutta said, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is one of the major initiatives as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Bharatiya Janata Party’s state media in-charge Sunit Sarkar also attended the press meet.
According to Dutta, there are 8.50 lakh households in Tripura and the state government has set target to hoist Tricolor in every house on August 13-15 as part of the campaign.
Dutta said, the BJP state president, convener of the campaign, assigned her along with Yuva Morcha state president Nabadal Banik and ST Morcha president Bikas Debbarma to make the camping successful.
She said, several committees at various levels- districts, mandals, and booths have been formed to look after the campaign.
Speaking to the media, she said, the party karyakartas would carry out National Flag distribution drive at every household from August 9 to 11, prabhatferis would be held in every ward of the state from August 11-13, cleaning of freedom fighters’ statues and memorials and garlanding by ministers, MLAs and BJP state leaders from August 11 to 15, bike rallies by Yuba Morcha would be held in all sixty mandals on August 12 to 13, a state-level programme to inaugurated the Tiranga Yatra would be held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan August 10.
