Agartala hosts 3rd Regional Workshop under NITI Aayog's SSM

 Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday emphasized that governance is not confined to institutions or procedures but is fundamentally about enhancing the quality of life of every citizen and ensuring that development reaches the last mile, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister was addressing delegates at the 3rd Regional Workshop under the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog held in Agartala.

The workshop witnessed participation from officials and representatives of Eastern and North-Eastern States and Union Territories.

Dr. Saha stated that the State Support Mission plays a crucial role in strengthening governance frameworks and fostering best practices across states. He highlighted that good governance is anchored in principles such as transparency, accountability, efficiency, responsiveness, and citizen-centric administration.

The workshop, organized in collaboration with TIFT, aims to promote these foundational ideals of governance while encouraging knowledge-sharing and capacity building among participating states and UTs.

Senior officials, policymakers, and experts attended the event, engaging in discussions focused on improving governance mechanisms to ensure inclusive and sustainable development across the region.
