One of the most appreciated on-screen Tollywood pairs, Dev (Deepak Adhikari) and Subhasree Ganguly, are arriving here in Agartala to promote their upcoming film DeSu7, which is set for Puja release.

Both stars will hold a public event at Children’s Park, Agartala on September 29 (Tuesday), which has already elicited a massive response. Passes for the grand event are being distributed from the Rupasi Cinema Hall ticket counter.

The news of their arrival in Agartala has driven the crowd crazy. Every day, the ticket counter has been witnessing long queues of fans eager to catch glimpses of their favourite stars.

More than a grand promotion event, the arrival of both stars means a lot to their fans. People are particularly enthusiastic about their upcoming film as the on-screen reunion of Dev and Subhasree is taking place after several years.

Last time, they worked as a lead pair in Kaushik Ganguly-directed Dhumketu. The filming of the project was wrapped in 2014, but due to post-production-related issues, it was delayed and made its way to theatres in 2025 to huge box-office success.

Following Dhumketu’s success, they are returning with DeSu7. Both actors stopped working with each other due to growing personal differences, leaving fans across the world extremely disappointed.

They started acting opposite each other with the 2008 commercially successful Bengali film Challenge. From that film onwards, they acted in several commercially successful films such as Khoka 420, Khokababu, Romeo, Paran Jay Jaliya Re, etc., between 2009 and 2014. All those romantic comedies were extremely successful at the box office, and the pair was loved and appreciated for their on-screen chemistry.

Especially for millennials who were in high school and college during this period, films featuring the pair in lead roles create a sense of nostalgia. Bengali cinema lovers are waiting to accord a grand reception to both stars.
