AIDWA organizes protest against atrocities on women in Tripura

Agartala Dec 06: Demanding arrest of all accused responsible for women related crimes across the state, All India Womens Association, Tripura Unit organized a protest rally in the capital city, Agartala here on Tuesday.
Pointing out two episodial incidents of crime against women in the state women leader of the organization said, “A 15 years old minor was gang raped in Udaipur’s Killa area and soon after that another girl of 13 years age was brutally raped in Chailengta area of the state”.
She added, “Everyday incidents of crime and atrocities on women and minor girls are reported from various areas of the state but the state BJP-led government is claiming ‘Sushashan’ and good law and order situation in Tripura”.
“It is definitely not ‘Ghar Ghar Sushashan’ but ‘Ghar Ghar Dharshan’ in Tripura under BJP governance”, alleged the agitation women of AIDWA.
Central Committee member of AIDWA Rupa Ganguly lambasted the state BJP government alleging that ruling party leaders and members are directly involved in crimes against women in Tripura.
“But because of being in power spineless Tripura police is not taking proper action against the criminals”, she said.
The members of AIDWA, Tripura state committee announced to continue protests until the atrocities against women is not stopped in Tripura.
