Mayor Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA from 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency Dipak Majumder on Monday said that all major city roads would be cleaned for hassle-free movement of people during the Durga Puja festivities.Â
“Lakhs of people reach Agartala city from far flung areas to enjoy the festive fervour. The Chief Minister has instructed us all to make sure that no one should face any inconvenience during the Puja celebrations. The traffic movement must remain congestion free. He also further stated that all the major departments shall put collective efforts to ensure that the festive spirit doesn't get hampered. “A high level meeting has been convened today in the presence of CEO Smart City Sailesh Kumar Yadav, District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar, Commissioner AMC DK Chakma. All the major departments including Urban Development, AMC and all line departments shall work in synergy to ensure that people don't face any inconvenience during Puja days,” he added.Â
