Agartala witnessed a vibrant celebration on Sunday as Ward No. 25 hosted the Angan Milan Seva programme, organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
The initiative, carried out under the aegis of the MP’s fund, is being extended to Anganwadi centres across the state, blending festivity with service. The event was inaugurated in the presence of former Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament, Biplab Kumar Deb, who joined children and community members in the celebration.
The programme turned into a joyful gathering as Anganwadi children celebrated the Prime Minister’s birthday alongside dignitaries. Guests spent time with the children, sharing moments of happiness and reinforcing the spirit of service.
Speaking at the event, Biplab Kumar Deb highlighted that the Seva Sankalp campaign, launched on September 17 and continuing until October 17, is designed to commemorate both the Prime Minister’s birthday and 25 years of his leadership in public life. As part of this campaign, Anganwadi centres across Tripura are hosting Angan Milan Seva to spread the message of social service.
Deb emphasized that the initiative is not only about celebrating with children but also about carrying the message of service to every section of society.
The launch of the programme in Ward 25, he said, symbolises the effort to take such welfare-driven initiatives deeper into the grassroots. The event underscored the dual purpose of joy and responsibility — bringing smiles to children while reminding communities of the importance of collective service.
