Assam Rifles celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Police, Students & Locals, strengthening bonds of brotherhood

The Assam Rifles marked the festival of Raksha Bandhan with a series of heartfelt celebrations across Agartala in Tripura and Lokra and Srikona in Assam, reaffirming the values of camaraderie, protection, and mutual respect.

As part of the programme, school children tied rakhis on the wrists of Assam Rifles personnel and State Police officers, symbolising gratitude for their dedicated service in safeguarding society. The personnel reciprocated with blessings and words of encouragement, pledging once again to protect the community with unwavering commitment.

The celebrations created a platform for interaction between security forces and local communities. Organisers highlighted that Raksha Bandhan, traditionally a festival of familial ties, here took on a broader meaning — representing the sacred bond of protection and trust between the forces and the people they serve.

Through the event, Assam Rifles conveyed that the spirit of Raksha Bandhan transcends family boundaries, embodying unity and national integration.
