Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh celebrates 68th Foundation Day

Agartala July 23: Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Tripura State Unit celebrated its 68th foundation day on Saturday at Chandrapur area of Agartala by hoisting the party flag at the beginning of the event.
State president of the organization Shankar Dev while talking to the reporters on the occasion said, BMS has acquired the status of largest labour organization by remaining non-political and always maintaining the principal of cooperative response. “BMS is mainly focusing on upliftment of unorganized sector,” he maintained. A handout stated that foundation of BMS was laid on July 23, 1955 at Bhopal by its founder Late Dato Pant Thengdi with non-political character and its first All India Conference was held after 12 years.
Dev further said that during COVID-19 pandemic BMS distributed ration and cooked food to the migrant laborers across the country. He added complying with the ideologies of the organization; the BMS will always stand up for the rights and interests of the labourers across the state.
The BMS Tripura Unit is also going to organize a Hall Sabha at Nazrul Kalakshetra on Saturday evening.
