BJP Dhalai district Sabhadhipati joins Congress, Sudip castigates CM over law & order

Agartala Oct 28: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dhalai district Sabhadhipati, Ruby Ghosh joined the Congress on Friday.
She was followed by a good number of voters who also left the ruling party and joined the Congress.
Meanwhile, around 117 voters from 18 families under 25 Khowai assembly constituency also joined the Congress along with Pradyut Bhattacharjee.
Besides, 25 other karyakartas of 34 Rajnagar assembly constituency also left the BJP and joined Congress on Friday.
Taking a jibe over the BJP government, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, “A complete lawlessness and anarchy has been created in Tripura by the BJP”.
He added around 50-60 leaders of the party have joined the congress across the state on Friday.
Talking about the recent incidents of women related crimes, Barman said, “The state government has no stand over such heinous issues and the police is playing a biased role. All the persons involved in those rape cases are BJP workers and supporters and the prime culprit in Kumarghat rape incident is BJP Minister’s son who is moving freely”.
Sudip Roy Barman further castigated Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha claiming that he has completely failed in running the administration.
“The Chief Minister is busier with affairs of Tripura Cricket Association”, alleged Sudip.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman said because of the misrule and mis-governance under the saffron party, BJP leaders and supporters are frustrated and are leaving the party.
