Agartala, Feb 19: Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to form the government again with an absolute majority, said party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee.
No force can stop BJP from winning this election, he said in a press conference on Sunday while appealing to the party Karyakartas not to fall prey to any instigation.
Referring to the incidents of post-poll violence, he said, the CPM-Congress parties are well aware about their defeat in the election.
Meanwhile, in order to tackle the incidents of post poll violence, the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday formed committees in all districts.
The members of the committees would visit respective districts from Monday and then submit a detailed report on the matter to the BJP state president, a press release said.
Addressing the press conference, party spokesman Nabendu Bhattacharjee said that the BJP's state unit decided to firmly deal with the deteriorating situation that has been arising since the state assembly elections held on February 16 last.
He said, the decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in the presence of top leaders on Sunday.
Criticizing the Left-Congress alliance for instigating post-poll violence in various parts of the state, the BJP state president said the Communists ruled the state with the help of terror for 25 years and now Congress also joined them.
He also cited some newspaper clippings from the 1993 to 2018 election period and said that during that period the people had witnessed several untoward incidents including booth capturing, vote rigging and post-poll violence but this election was held in a free, fair and peaceful manner setting an example.
The BJP state president appreciated the role of Election Commission, security personnel, administration and other departments for discharging their duties impartially.
