Dharmanagar, Nov 20: In a remarkable show of strength as warm up for Lok Sabha polls, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party held a massive rally at Dharmanagar assembly constituency on Monday.
The rally was led by MLA Biswamandhu Sen. He welcomed around 200 opposition voters to the saffron camp.
Addressing the gathering held near Netaji statue, the local MLA said development and good governance is the key objective of the BJP government.
He strongly criticized the CPM-Congress understanding for misleading a section of people before the 2023 assembly elections.
Sen also mentioned that in some parts, the Congress-CPM alliance had misguided the people with the concept that BJP is a Hindutva-based party. In this context, he particularly mentioned about the poor results of BJP at ward no 9.
The MLA also thanked the people who voted for BJP in the last assembly polls.
Chairman of Dharmanagar municipal council Pradyut Dey Sarkar, vice-chairman Manju Nath, president of Dharmanagar mandal Shyamal Kanti Nath and prabhari of North Tripura BJP unit Vikas Sharma were present in the party rally.
