Agartala Feb 04: Victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a single seat will once again add to the undemocratic, lawless atmosphere in Tripura said Congress candidate and former MLA Asish Kumar Saha.

Saha made the statement at the sidelines of door-to-door campaign in 8-Town Bordowali assembly area on Saturday.

With assembly elections inching closer, the opposition party candidates are also putting maximum efforts to reach out to the voters.

Backed by both Left and Congress supporters, Asish Kumar Saha pitched for votes and support from the common people.

He said, “Despite of political differences, both Left and Congress have joined hands for the sake of common people, so that Tripura and the citizens can be saved from the hands of ‘fascist’ rule of BJP”.

Saha further said, “People of Tripura are well aware of their mistake in 2018 and will not repeat it again. Because the BJP gave them nothing except boastful promises that remains unfulfilled even after 5 years of governance”.

“Our main agenda is to defeat BJP and its win in a single seat will destroy the constitutional order and affect the democracy of Tripura”, he added.
