Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday said booth-level karyakartas are the strength of Bharatiya Janata Party.
He was addressing a Karyakarta Sammelan at Kakraban community hall in Gomati district.
Dr. Saha said, the booth-level karyakartas worked hard and established the BJP government in 2018; they are the strength of the party.
He then encouraged the karyakartas to take the lead for highlighting development activities of the government before the people.
The Chief Minister hinted that in the 2023 assembly polls, the BJP would leave no stone unturned to secure win in all sixty seats including the constituencies where the party couldn’t register victory in 2018 polls. In this context, he highlighted the by-poll results of Jubarajnagar assembly constituency.
Overwhelmed by the response given by the party workers, Dr. Saha commented that the BJP would secure victory in the Kakraban seat in the next assembly elections with a comfortable margin.
Meanwhile the Chief Minister participated in a joining programme at Gamaria School ground under 32-Matabari constituency, where 395 voters form 150 families joined the saffron camp.
The Chief Minister welcomed the newcomers in presence of local party leaders including MLA Biplab Ghosh.
He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid special emphasis on Janajati development. Citing an example, he said, the countrymen couldn’t even imagine that a woman from the Janajati community would become the President of India.
The long-pending Bru issue has been solved through a quadripartite agreement, holiday has been declared for Garia Puja and rail line has been extended up to Sabroom, he said.
Disappointed at the Left’s politics of lies and realizing that development is not possible by any regional party, the Janajati people from various parts of the state are joining the saffron camp, he added.
