Agartala, Mar 14: In a shocking and gruesome incident, a dog was dragged by a speeding Max vehicle (No TR -03 3731) along the Sabroom-Agartala NH. The helpless dog tied through a rope on its right rear leg with the vehicle was seen tossing up and twisting around the potholes in the road. 

An animal lover, Bishal Singh who was travelling from Agartala to Sabroom, noticed this brutal incident near Pilak in Jolaibari on Tuesday. Singh stooped the Max Vehicle and wanted to know why the driver was dragging the dog. 

The driver, reportedly, told Singh, ‘This is my wish’ – and sped away. Before Singh could stop the Max vehicle, he took the video which showed how mercilessly was killed. The video went viral and netizens raised a huge hue and cry demanding exemplary punishment for the Max driver.

The dog was not a stray dog but a pet dog. A Sabroom-based NGO for animals took up the issue and sought Government intervention against the offending driver.
