BSF detains 4 illegal entrants in Tripura

Kailasahar Nov 29: Border Security Force (BSF) troopers detained a total of 4 persons including two Bangladeshi and two Indian Nationals who allegedly entered the Indian territory illegally.
The detainees were later handed over to police of Irani Police Station in Kailasahar and were produced before the Kailasahar court on Tuesday afternoon.
Jatindra Das, OC of Irani police station, said that Jaba Rani Roy and Jagdish Roy, residents of Jagannathpur police station area of Sylhet district, Bangladesh, along with Nirmal Pal, resident of Dharmanagar, North district, and Bishwajit Banik, resident of Rangirkhari area of Silchar, Assam state, were detained on Monday, November 28.
While illegally crossing the India- Bangladesh border, BSF jawans detained them and took them to Latiapura BSF camp.
Irani police station OC Jatindra Das said that the police interrogated the four persons and sent them to the Kailasahar court on Tuesday afternoon.
Rs 28,000 Indian currency, a gold chain and four mobile phones were also seized from the detained, said police.
