Agartala Aug 05:Unemployed Youth Forum, an organization of job aspirants who have appeared for the Joint Recruitment Board conducted exams for selection of Group C and Group D employees on Friday argued any court case stalling publication of the results is against the interest of lakhs of aspirants who appeared for the exams. The forum also demanded that the results be declared as soon as possible.
A press statement issued by the Forum reads, “Two persons namely Chandan Debbarma and Abhijit Paul moved the High Court against publication of results citing that they could not sit for the exams due to Covid 19 induced restrictions. But the exams took place on August 20 and 22 or 2021. We want to clarify here that in August 2021, there was no lockdown or heavy restrictions. A good number of Covid 19 infected patients appeared the exams with special arrangements. Now if these two gentlemen could not sit for exams, it is their failure to follow the exams guidelines”.
The press statement also said that despite the High Court demanded all the papers related to the exams the government advocates representing in the Court are unwilling to submit the reports. “This case is been intentionally dragged longer without thinking about the thousands of people who had sit for the exams”, said UYF. Citing reference of exams like UPSC, TPSC, etc., the UYF said, “In no exams hundred percent applicants appear for the exams but it does not mean those who missed the exams for personal reason can challenge the exams results”.
