Karbook, Oct 21: Unrest and political tension has gripped the hills ahead of 2023 assembly polls. Fights have begun in the hills between two parties, the ruling party of the state and the ruling party of the ADC.

Tipra Motha activist Saltha Mog was allegedly attacked on Thursday night by BJP backed goons led by Kritim Joy Reang at Thatho Mog Para under Karbook Block.

Receiving the information police personnel of Karbook Police station reached the spot and arrested Kritim Joy Reang while the injured Tipra Motha worker was admitted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, receiving the information of attack on party activist, Tipra Motha Karbook block president Kiranmoy Tripura and block Secretary Bishal Debbarma along with other leaders and TWF State Secretary Energy DB Tripura rushed to the hospital.

Tipra Motha leaders held talks with the OC of Karbook PS and demanded exemplary punishment of the accused.
