CM Saha meets new VC, Demands national standing for Tripura University

Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha held a crucial meeting with Tripura University’s newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Debabrata Das, where the state’s academic future was placed firmly at the forefront. 

The Vice Chancellor presented a roadmap for raising the university’s standards over the next five years, outlining plans to strengthen quality benchmarks and elevate its stature in higher education.

Expressing satisfaction at Professor Das’s appointment, the Chief Minister called upon him to take decisive measures that would ensure the institution’s progress and secure recognition at the national level. 

Dr. Saha emphasized that the intellectual standing of a state is determined by the quality of its education and the position of its universities, urging Tripura University to strive for a place among India’s leading institutions.

The discussion covered multiple aspects of university development, with the Chief Minister assuring full government support to facilitate reforms and initiatives. 

He reiterated that Tripura University must actively pursue excellence to achieve prominence in the national academic landscape.
