
The temperature in Tripura is expected to decline further in January, while an obvious drop is also likely in the second week of December, which may fall below the normal seasonal trend, an official in Meteorological Centre, Agartala said on Sunday.
Interacting with the media persons, the Head of the Meteorological Centre, IMD Agartala, Dr. Partha Roy, said the winter season officially began in the state from December 1 as a sharp fall in temperature was recorded during the first week of the month.
Dr. Roy said the IMD Agartala centre recorded a minimum temperature of around 13°C on Sunday which is normal for this time of the year.
He stated that the expected minimum temperature for December would range between 11°C and 13°C, which is normal for Tripura.
He also informed that there is no forecast of rainfall during the ongoing winter season.
