Collection of Aadhaar number of voters starts in Sepahijala district

Charilam August 02: The Election Commission of India has taken important steps to prepare a transparent voter list. Aadhaar number will be linked with EPIC number of voters. Aadhaar number collection campaign will continue in August and September.
The BLO has started collecting Aadhaar numbers by going door to door in Sipahijala district.
The district administration held a meeting with the representatives of all political parties at the conference hall of Sipahijala DM on Monday in order to complete the Aadhaar number collection campaign.
Additional District Mgistrate Subhashis Banerjee detailed the collection of Aadhaar numbers in a press conference. He said there are 476 BLOs for 476 booths in Sipahijala district. They will go to everyone's house and collect Aadhaar numbers of voters. There are total voters of 3 lakh 89 thousand 385 people in 9 assembly constituencies of Sipahijala district. Among them 43406 people in Takarjala No. 12, 41474 people in Golagathi No. 17, Kamalasagar No. 15 41894 people, Bishalgarh No.16 48175 people, Charilam No. 19 38549 people, Boxnagar No. 20 41081 people, Nalchar No. 21 43778 people, Sonamura No. 22 43052 people, 23 No. Dhanpur has 48016 voters.
The BLO will collect the xerox copy of the voter's Aadhaar number and Aadhaar card of each voter. Those who do not have an Aadhaar card or have lost their Aadhaar card, can deposit driving license, PAN card, passport card, bank passbook, health insurance card, MGNREGA card.
