Agartala July 21: Pradesh Congress on Thursday held massive protest in capital city Agartala against the interrogation of All India Congress President Sonia Gandhi by ED.
The Congress slammed the agency’s action against senior Congress leadership and called it to be a “political vendetta”.
The activists and supporters marched through the city streets and burnt effigies of PM Modi and HM Amit Shah.
Addressing the media in this context Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, “Such actions are outcome of sick minded leaders. Now there will be similar action against many Congress leaders in some of the Indian states, where elections are near. ED, CBI is Parakeets of BJP. A fascist, Hitlerian regime has been established by the govt and this BJP party is one man-centric party”.
It has become a habit of the BJP government at the centre to repeatedly harass opponents by using India's highest investigating agency, said Congress.
Tripura Pradesh Congress staged dharna and protest in front of the Agartala ED office on Thursday.
