Dharmanagar, Dec 21: Withe the aim to improve the quality of meals served to students, a cooking competition for mid-day meal cooks was organized at the Dharmanagar School Inspector’s office.

Participants were selected through CRC (Cluster Resource Center)-level contests from 62 schools under seven CRCs. 

The event organised on Saturday featured 21 cooks from five CRCs of Kalacherra Block and two CRCs under the Municipal Council.

The winners of this block-level competition will proceed to district-level contests, with top performers advancing to the state level. Travel expenses for participants were covered and all were awarded certificates to encourage their efforts.

Ranju Sharma, the officiating school inspector, highlighted the initiative’s goal of fostering healthy competition among cooks to enhance meal quality and nutrition for students.
