Udaipur (Tripura), Feb 09, 2023, TRIPURA TIMES Desk
Udaipur, Feb 09: All India Secretary of CPM Sitaram Yechury said people of the country are looking up at the Congress-CPM alliance in the tiny hilly State – Tripura.
Yechury addressed a sub-division level poll meeting at Ramesh School ground in Udaipur. The meeting was organized with the joint initiative of Congress and CPM. Apart from Yechury, Central leader of Congress Pawan Khera, RSP leader of West Bengal Mrinmoy Sengupta and others were present at the rally.
“BJP leaders became frightened as Congress and CPM came closer and forged an alliance in the State. Let the beginning of ousting BJP start from here”, Yechury said.
He continued criticizing the ruling party alleging BJP is running, not a double-engine government, but a double-loot government in the State.
People are disillusioned with the BJP as prices of fuel and other essentials are increasing every day. In such a situation, BJP has only three weapons – ED, Income Tax and CBI.
Earlier, rallies with the Congress-CPM nominated candidates for four Assembly seats under the Udaipur sub-division roamed around respective areas and reached the meeting ground.
