Kalyanpur Jan 16: With the assembly elections knocking at the door, opposition CPI-m has geared up its campaigning across the state.
Monday, the leaders calimed of getting immense response from door-to-door campaigning in Ghilatali area under Kalyanpur assembly constituency.
Subhash Nath, Arun Debbarma and CPIM Gilatli regional secretary Shankar Debnath, 2 members of CPI-M Khowai district secretary council, participated in the door-to-door campaigning.
The leaders held talks with the locals and urged them to cast votes for the CPI-M with a promise of welfare and development.
Talking to the reporters, CPI-M leader Subhash Nath said, “We are trying to reach out to each of the voters on behalf of the party”.
He added, “In these 58 months, BJP has not kept any of the promises it made to the people before coming to power”.
The left leaders lambasted the ruling BJP over its promises of 50,000 jobs per year and jobs through missed calls.
