Udaipur/ Gandachhera, Jan 22: The Leftists are sparing no stone unturned to regain ground and woo the voters. Across the State, Party activists are working overtime and campaigning for the party, even though seat sharing formula between the Leftists and Congress is yet to be made public.
Condemning the ruling BJP’s ‘autocratic’ regime, four frontal organizations of CPM – DYFI, SFI, TYF and TSU – held a rally at Udaipur on Sunday and urged people to come forward for restoring democracy in the State and re-establishing rule of law. The rally roamed around the town and ended at the Old Town Hall premises. A public meeting was held there in which party leaders addressed the gathering.
Meantime, CPM local leaders and supporters conducted a door-to-door campaign at hamlets under Twichakma in Gandachhera today in which CPM State Committee member Santosh Chakma and other leaders took part.
Speaking to the media, Santosh Chakma highlighted the plight of the people living at Senpara. He alleged inhabitants of the Senpara remained deprived of Drinking water, road, electricity and livelihood. He urged people to be united against the BJP as the BJP-IPFT government exploited people.
