Agartala, Nov 18: Yuva Vikash Kendra is going to organize a week-long Heritage Fest 2022 from November 20 next where about 500 representatives, youths from 22 states and UTs of the country will participate in the programme.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in presence of ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury, MP Rebati Tripura, Mayor Dipak Majumdar and others will inaugurate the festival at 6 pm at Umakanata Academy field.
Apart from youths from across the state artists from Indonesia, Bangladesh and Nepal are also expected to join the gala programme, said president of the state unit of the YVK Debasish Majumdar in a press conference where advisors of the organization Sandip Datta Choudhury, Sebak Bhattacharjee and secretary Pinku Das were also present.

The programme, organized as part of the 50 years of statehood, will start with a colourful march past in the city by youths from across the country in their traditional attire at 2 pm. About 30 cultural organizations, Assam Rifles, Mayor and all councillors among other dignitaries will join the march past.
“All ministers will attend the week long programme and there will be cultural events from the participants every night. There will also be fair in the festival ground”, said Majumdar.
The idea behind the fest is to reach out to other parts of the country with rich history of the state, said Sebak Bhattacharjee, advisor of the organising committee. Advocate Datta Choudhury also gave details of the programme in the press conference.
The event which had been planned in January last had to be postponed due to Covid restrictions, said Majumdar.
