Dharmanagar Sep 22: Uncertainty and confusion among a section of Congress supporters in Dharmanagar reportedly crept in recently which may snowball into a major defection. Recently, enthusiasm among the Congress workers became palpable after Congress leaders including Sudip Roy Barman held a successful public rally. However, the enthusiasm seems to be fast evaporating and uncertainty is prevailing among a section of the Congress supporters. Sources claimed, the Congress party in Dharmanagar is set to be reduced to a party of banner only very soon.

“After MLA Sudip Roy Barman won the Assembly polls, we became optimistic that Congress would be rejuvenated and would be able to oust BJP. However, we are feeling disappointed and becoming hopeless about the future of the party”, one of the disgruntled supporters said.
