Kailasahar Nov 08: Dead body of former BJP Mandal president was recovered on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place in Samarurpar village panchayat area of ​​Kailashahar.

Reportedly, deceased Parimal Debnath was a permanent resident of Ward No. 5 in Samarurpar Gram Panchayat.

According to local sources, following the death of Parimal Debnath's first wife three years ago and betrayal from his second wife, he suffered from a heart attack and used to remain depressed.

In such a helpless situation the deceased Parimal Debnath used to live at one of his relative, Kiran Debnath’s residence for past 1.4 years.

Family members said that because of depression Parimal Debnath often used to go out of home without informing anyone.

Monday night at around eight o'clock, Parimal Debnath went to sleep in his room at Kiran Debnath’s residence where he used to stay.

But waking up on Tuesday morning the family members could not find Parimal in his room.

Searching for a long time, the family members spotted his dead body in Fani Shukla Baidya's pond, two kilometers away from the house.

Immediately information was sent to Kailasahar police station.

Police recovered the body and took it to Unakoti District Hospital for post-mortem.

Confronting the reporters, relative of the deceased, Kiran Debnath said he is completely unaware of how Parimal fell in to the pond.

Notably, the deceased Parimal Debnath was an active member of the ruling BJP.

He was the Mandal president of Chandipur Mandal from 2004 to 2010.

Deceased Parimal Debnath is said to have owned many properties.

However, police said that the reason behind death can be known after the autopsy report comes in.
