Former Tripura Chief Minister and present Lok Sabha MP from West Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb has hailed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s historic victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, describing it as a clear mandate for development, good governance, and stability.
In a statement issued on Monday in his social media platform, Deb extended heartfelt congratulations to the “conscious and respected citizens of West Bengal” and to every dedicated BJP worker who contributed to the campaign. He said the victory was the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s strategic acumen and the organizational guidance of BJP National president Nitin Nabin.
Deb emphasized that the people of West Bengal had rejected “politics of fear, appeasement and mismanagement” and instead chosen a path of progress. “This verdict proves that the people want a strong, transparent, and development-oriented government that will take the state to new heights of prosperity,” he said.
Speaking to journalists after the announcement of results, Deb struck a confident tone, reiterating his firm political stance: “Defeat is not written in my stars; I have come to Bengal solely to establish a BJP government.” He added that the mandate reflects a growing desire among citizens for transformation and development-driven governance.
Deb described the outcome as a “victory for the people”, underscoring the BJP’s commitment to representing public sentiment and delivering on promises. He also noted that the party’s expanding success across states, including Tripura’s Dharmanagar by-election, signals a new direction in India’s political landscape.
