Tollywood actor-producer Dev on Tuesday said that his production company Dev Entertainment ventures was eager to collaborate with Tripura based talents and explore shooting locations in the North Eastern state in order to showcase the state’s scenic beauty and rich culture. Dev was interacting with media persons here in Agartala at Rupasi SSR during his visit to the state to promote his directorial debut DeSu7.
Replying to a query regarding the talented artists of Tripura who get rare opportunities to showcase their talent in the entertainment industry, Dev said, “My production house–Dev Entertainment Venture–has always given opportunity to young and talented people. You can search on the internet. In fact, in DeSu7, a talented youtuber has been given an opportunity. So, we are ready to have new talent on board. I shall leave my contact; anyone who is interested in pitching something can contact our team. No matter in which field the individual is looking for an opportunity; be it camera, script, acting or any other field.”
He also informed the media persons that he was also eager to explore shooting locations in the state. “Today the ticket prices have increased substantially. The audience wants to watch something new. As a producer, it is my responsibility to explore new locations which are within our country. Like, we have gone to Ladakh to shoot this film. We have a proper meeting on this matter in the evening,” he explained.
Dev expressed his sincere gratitude to the people of Tripura. “I am extremely grateful to the people of this state for the warmth and love they have showcased. Ever since we have landed here in Agartala, I am overwhelmed by the love and affection showcased by the people. These are responses that drive us to make films and create moments of happiness for the fans,” he added.
According to Dev, the film is all about creating the nostalgia factor that was once celebrated on screen whenever the Dev-Subhasree pair got a theatrical release.
“The people who had watched our films from the initial days have now grown up and engaged in different professional jobs. In this intervening period, the language of filmmaking has changed. The craft has evolved substantially. This film has been made with the objective to recreate that nostalgia factor for the audience who loved our pair and feel an emotional bond with us,” he said.
Subhasree in her brief media address thanked people of the state for the love, affection and warmth they had received in the soil of Tripura.
The film is slated to release on October 16 next on the occasion of Durga Puja.
