Dharmanagar Engineers' Association hosts blood donation and tree plantation

A combined blood donation and tree plantation programme was held at the PWD Complex in Dharmanagar on Thursday, organized by the Tripura Engineers’ Association, Dharmanagar Complex. The initiative carried a strong message of social responsibility, drawing participation from engineers, local residents, and youth.

The event was inaugurated by Jahar Chakraborty, MLA of Dharmanagar constituency, who praised the effort as a timely and meaningful contribution to society. He noted that demand for blood rises sharply during the summer months, making such drives vital for saving lives. 

At the same time, the plantation of saplings across the PWD office premises was highlighted as an important step toward environmental protection.

Association members, along with ordinary citizens, came forward spontaneously to donate blood, while different species of saplings were planted to promote a greener environment. 

Leaders including Jayanta Bikash Dhar, convenor of the Dharmanagar Local Complex Committee, Jaydeep Bhattacharjee, District Secretary of CITU North Tripura, and Divyajyoti Nath, District President of CITU Dharmanagar Complex, were present at the programme.

The initiative was widely appreciated by attendees, who described it as a model of community-driven action.
