Dharmanagar May 18: In a successful operation against rampant bike theft, police of Dharmanagar police station succeeded to detain two bike thieves and also recovered the stolen bike.

According to reports, a bike theft case was filed with the Dharmanagar police station in early 2023. On investigating the case, Dharmanagar police station OC Shibranjan Dey learnt that the stolen bike numbered AS 11 G7364 was in Milan Chakra area of Agartala.

Acting upon the information received from secret sources, Dharmanagar police reached Agartala and carried out investigation entire Wednesday.

Later, on late Wednesday night police succeeded to detain two bike thieves along with the stolen bike.

Talking to reporters, OC Shibaranjan Dey said, “The two bike thieves are Jhutan Das resident of Milan Chakra area of Agartala and Amit Deb, resident of Dharmanagar Nayapara area”.

The detained were produced before the court on Thursday.
