Agartala, Aug 30: Tripura cricket association selected Dipak Khatri as the third professional cricketer in the state Ranji team. Dipak Kshaitri performed in 22 yards for United Friends Club in club cricket this year. This cricketer is an all-rounder. Several other state cricketers like Dipak Khatri played for different teams in club cricket this year. After that, TCA arranged two preparatory matches with all the cricketers from outside the state. Both the matches were well watched by the selectors. After watching, the selectors spoke to TCA president Tapan Lodh and joint secretary Kishore Das. According to the selectors, Dipak Khatri is the perfect among all cricketers to play in all three formats. Besides, if any of the bowlers who are in the senior team at the moment get injured, then Dipak Khatri can also do the medium bowling in their place. The president and joint secretary listened to the arguments of the selectors very well. After hearing it was finally decided that Dipak Khatri should be given a chance as the third professional after Wriddhiman, Sudeep. According to the decision, Dipak Khatri has been selected as the third professional cricketer. By doing this, TCA gave an excellent message to the whole country. Because, next year when club cricket will be held again in the state, better quality cricketers from outside the state will come to play in Tripura. The standard of cricket in the state will continue to improve.
