Durga Puja 2026: Chebri Lotus Club announces ISKCON Mayapur-themed Mandap

 With the festive season drawing near, the Chebri Lotus Club has formally begun preparations for this year’s Durga Puja through the traditional Khuti Puja ceremony, held on Friday at the club premises. The ritual, performed with full religious rites and chanting of mantras, marked the auspicious start of the Sharadotsav arrangements.

The event was attended by local dignitaries, including Uttam Adhikari, club officials, members, and residents of the area. A festive atmosphere prevailed as devotees prayed for the success of the upcoming celebrations and for peace and prosperity in the community.

This year’s special attraction will be the Durga Puja mandap, designed in the likeness of the famous ISKCON temple at Mayapur. Organisers revealed that the theme aims to recreate the spiritual aura of the temple, blending devotion, artistry, and aesthetics. Through intricate decorations and lighting, the mandap will offer visitors a captivating glimpse of Mayapur’s ISKCON ambience right in Chebri.

Club members and residents expressed enthusiasm about the theme, noting that the mandap will not only be a place of worship but also a centre for cultural gatherings. Organisers believe the innovative design will draw large crowds and add a distinctive dimension to this year’s festivities.
