Agartala, Sep 14: The youth bodies of CPM, DYFI and TYF, on Thursday, launched their QR code and sought donations to intensify the movements against the government’s negligence towards the rising unemployment rate and drug menace in the state of Tripura.
Addressing a press conference here at Agartala, the DYFI national general secretary Himagnaraj Bhattacharjee alleged unemployment is rising in the state along with the rest of the country and held the ruling BJP government responsible for it.
“The state is not left behind when the rising unemployment rate across the country under the rule of BJP government is considered,” he alleged, adding that the DYFI has decided to launch mass agitation involving the unemployed youths of the state.
He said, “Some financial crises are putting obstacles on our movement against the Corporate-aided government. In that case, we seek donations so that we can intensify our youth movement.”
On the other hand, the DYFI state president Palash Bhowmik slammed the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura and said, “At a time when the unemployment rate is galloping, the youths of our state are being pushed towards drug addiction. The entire state is reeling under drug menace amidst the government’s Nesha-Mukt Tripura slogan.”
“We have decided to hold a youth movement on September 15, 23 and 29 in three separate places of Kumarghat, Belonia and Agartala with an aim to generate more awareness against drug abuse and rescue the youths of the state from the drug menace,” he told reporters.
