Agartala Nov 28: In a major breakthrough police personnel of East Agartala Police station were successful in seizing a huge consignment of Phensedyl, an addictive cough syrup from a vehicle.

Reportedly, police detained a vehicle in the Agartala Town Hall area based on suspicion during regular patrolling.

Two persons present in the car managed to escape from the spot.

However, police seized the car and informed SDPO Ajay Kumar Das.

Search of the vehicle numbered TR 01 AM 0265 revealed large cartoons with a huge number of Phensedyl bottles.

SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, investigation is on to nab the kingpins.
