Belonia Nov 06: Claiming that the people are “fed up” with the misrule, corruption and politics of violence unleashed by the BJP, the Trinamool Congress has started extensive campaigning in nooks and corners of the state.
The party projected itself as the best alternative in the state adding that the people of Tripura were yearning for Bengal model of governance.
Sunday morning, TMC organized a meeting in the Hall Chowmani area under Ward No 3 of Belonia municipal council as a part of the election campaign.
The TMC leaders said, “The people of Tripura are fed up with the misrule, corruption, criminalization, and politics of violence unleashed by the BJP. The state has had the experience of communist rule for 25 uninterrupted years and Congress had also been tested in 1988-93. Now, the voters are aspiring to see the governance of TMC and get benefits like the people of West Bengal”.
The leaders claimed that they are getting good response from the people.
They further added that the door-to-door campaign started from November 1 and will continue till November 6.
Trinamool Congress leaders Tridib Dutta, Prashanta Sen, Kajal Banik and others remained present in the campaign.
