Five Tripura Police Personnel Awarded Meritorious Service Medal on Independence Day

The Tripura Police has earned national recognition this Independence Day, with five of its personnel selected for the prestigious Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) as part of the honours announced by the Centre.

The awardees include SP Amitabh Pal, Havildar Shishuranjan Chowdhury, Subedar Sanjib Patra, Naik Md. Moharram Ali, and Constable Mrinal Debbarma. Their names feature in the state-wise list released by the Ministry of Home Affairs, which allocates medals to personnel serving in police, fire, home guard, civil defence, and correctional services across the country.

The Medal for Meritorious Service is conferred on officers and staff who have demonstrated long-standing dedication, devotion to duty, and distinguished service. For Tripura, the allocation of five medals this year is seen as a proud moment, reflecting the sustained commitment of its police force in maintaining law and order and serving the people.
