Governor opens new school building in North Tripura

The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed three-storey building of Great India Talent School was held on Friday at Kashirampura under Gachhirampura in Kanchanpur sub-division of North Tripura.

The modern school building has been constructed under the initiative of ISKCON-affiliated Akshaya Patra Foundation. The building was formally inaugurated by Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.

At the beginning of the programme, the Governor visited the local Hare Krishna temple and participated in prayers. The main inauguration event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Students of the school presented patriotic songs, captivating the audience. A traditional Hojagiri dance, representing the rich tribal cultural heritage, became a major attraction of the event.

Apart from the Governor, the programme was attended by Tripura Legislative Assembly Speaker Rampada Jamatia, Vishwa Hindu Parishad National General Secretary Y. Raghavulu, Akshaya Patra Foundation Co-founder Chanchalapathi Das, President of the Guwahati Hare Krishna Movement Committee Janardhan Das, along with several Maharaj, saints, dignitaries, and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor stated that the new school building would significantly enhance access to modern and quality education for students belonging to tribal and other communities in the region.

The day-long programme concluded in a spiritual and celebratory atmosphere.
