
Tripura Governor and Chief Rector of Tripura University Indra Sena Reddy Nallu on Sunday asked the university to focus on high-quality research, expedite recruitment to vacant posts, improve administrative efficiency and maintain a disciplined work culture.
The Governor made the observations during a meeting with Tripura University Vice-Chancellor Prof Debabrata Das at the Raj Bhavan, officials said.
During the meeting, Das briefed the Governor on the university's academic and administrative activities and other ongoing initiatives.
The Governor stressed the need to strengthen research activities and improve the overall academic environment of the university. He also underlined the importance of filling vacant positions at the earliest to ensure smooth functioning of the institution.
The discussion also covered measures to improve administrative efficiency and promote a disciplined work culture on the campus, officials said.
Campus development was another key area of discussion, with the Governor emphasising the need to enhance infrastructure and create a better environment for students, faculty and staff.
The meeting reviewed issues relating to the functioning of the central university and its future priorities, according to officials.
