Har Ghar Tiranga: CM purchases tricolour

Agartala Aug 05: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday purchased the tricolour as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and sought spontaneous participation of the people for its success.
After collecting the national flag, Dr Saha said, “This event has reminded me of my childhood when I used to purchase national flags during the republic day and independence day celebrations. Now after many years, PM Modi’s call for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark 75 years of Independence of the country. I would like to appeal to each and every citizen of the state to participate in this campaign to keep the spirit of patriotism alive among us. This could also be seen as an opportunity to pay tributes to our freedom fighters that made supreme sacrifice for the country’s independence”.
On being asked about his visit to Delhi, he said, “The Delhi meeting is aimed at updating PM Modi about the progress of centrally sponsored schemes running in the state. Tripura is among the good performing states in terms of the centrally sponsored projects. Yesterday, the I chaired a meeting of the state level bankers committee. All the data that I have gathered would be presented before the Prime Minister”.
He also informed the media personnel that there are chances of meeting other central ministers as well during his Delhi visit.
