'Har Ghar Tiranga' has sparked a wave of Patriotism: Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday unfurled the national flag at his official residence in Agartala to mark India’s 80th Independence Day, declaring that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has ignited a powerful surge of patriotism across the nation.

Addressing the gathering after the ceremony, Dr Saha said the initiative has not only brought the tricolour into every home but also rekindled awareness among younger generations about the sacrifices of freedom fighters. He stressed that nurturing patriotism among youth is essential to keeping the spirit of the freedom struggle alive.

The Chief Minister used the occasion to highlight India’s strides in national security, infrastructure, employment and connectivity over the past 12 years. 

He pointed to the expansion of road and aviation networks, improved internet services and advances in airspace management as evidence of the country’s rapid progress.

Dr Saha also underlined India’s strengthened defence capabilities, citing surgical strikes, air strikes and Operation Sindoor as examples of the nation’s growing military confidence and rising global stature.

On Tripura’s economic performance, he noted that the state’s GDP has registered significant growth, placing it second among northeastern states in both GDP and per capita income.

Across the state, the day was celebrated with due devotion and fervor.
