Agartala Sept 25: Teliamura police arrested three persons from a vehicle during routine checking and recovered fake Indian currency notes from their possession.

According to police, the seizure was made at Upanagar Naka Point between Chakmaghat and Teliamura and the estimated face value of the fake currency notes is Rs 75,000.

The arrested accused has been identified as Malin Debbarma, Paribesh Debbarma and Anil Debbarma. All residents of Bairagidhepa area under Teliamura police station.

“We stopped the vehicle numbered TR-01-Bv-0792 at the Upanagar Naka point based on suspicion and during the search, a huge amount of counterfeit Indian currency notes of Rs 500 domination with a total face value of Rs 75,000 was seized”, said police.

A case has been registered against the arrested persons and further proceedings are on, said police.
