In a bid to ensure that government benefits reach every family in the Krishnapur Assembly constituency, Tribal Welfare Minister and local MLA Bikash Debbarma chaired a crucial preparatory meeting at the BJP Mandal office on Friday.

The meeting focused on the upcoming yarn distribution and government certificate presentation ceremony, scheduled for October 13 at the Poush Sankranti Mela grounds near Chakmaghat Barrage.

The event will be graced by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who is expected to personally hand over certificates and oversee the distribution of yarn to beneficiaries.

Addressing party workers and supporters, Debbarma stressed that no family should be left out of the programme. He urged workers to spread awareness across tribal and remote areas, ensuring that the purpose of the initiative—delivering government services directly to citizens—is clearly communicated.

Debbarma emphasised inclusivity, stating that government services must reach every citizen regardless of political affiliation. He instructed party cadres to visit households and personally invite residents to attend the October 13 event.

The meeting was attended by Mandal General Secretary Wathrai Molsum, along with other leaders, workers, and supporters. Tribal Morcha leaders were also called upon to actively participate in the outreach campaign, particularly in remote villages of Krishnapur constituency, where communication gaps often hinder awareness of government schemes.

The upcoming ceremony will distribute yarn to local communities, supporting traditional livelihoods, while also providing official certificates to eligible citizens. The initiative is seen as a step towards strengthening socio‑economic development in the region by expanding access to welfare schemes.

Residents of Ratia, Durgapur, South Durgapur, and surrounding areas are expected to benefit, with the programme aiming to bridge long‑standing gaps in service delivery.

Preparations at the mela grounds are already underway, with local enthusiasm building around the event.
